You Need At Least 8gb Of Ram To Run Windows 12

Microsoft is working on Windows 12 and the release date is expected to be at the end of 2024. The company has been keeping a low profile about the development of the new operating system. However, at the Ignite 2022 event, Microsoft released a concept image of Windows 12. Which gives us a glimpse of what we can expect. The image shows a floating taskbar without a clock and a search bar on the desktop. Widgets can also be available directly on the desktop.

It is important to note that these changes are still in the works and Microsoft is decoupling everything from the system. The start menu and search are separate processes, and the file explorer is currently being converted to XAML. These changes are being continuously improved in the canary (hidden) version.

The development of Windows 12 gives us a small insight into what we can expect from the new operating system. Some users may wonder if the hardware requirements will increase with the release of Windows 12. According to our information, the need for TPM 2.0 will stay the same. And the protection offered by Pluton will remain optional.

However, the requirement for RAM could increase to 8 GB due to the cloud PC. Which is currently in test in the Windows 11 Insider versions. The CPU will likely remain the same, starting from the 8th generation Intel. It remains to see whether it will continue to work underneath. We will for sure get more details in this regard in the next months.

In conclusion, users are highly waiting for the release of Windows 12. Though Microsoft is keeping a low profile, the concept image released at Ignite 2022 gives us a glimpse of what we can expect. The development of the new operating system is ongoing, and more information will be available in the future.
